Noel Gallagher Discusses Thoughts On Oasis Reunion, Says It Would “Kill Me As A Person”

There’s very few millennials who don’t know the Oasis song “Wonderwall.” It’s almost engrained in our DNA at this point. Which makes this bit of news a little disheartening.

Liam Gallagher has repeatedly called for a reunion of the legendary British band, and has frequently pointed at his brother Noel for the holdup. Noel, finally speaking on the reunion, had some less than positive things to say about the notion.

“It would be the death of me as a person,” Noel Gallagher told Q. “I’ve been very consistent about it. I don’t need the money, I don’t need the glory, I don’t need to relive the memories. If I was to get Oasis back together tomorrow and then do a tour, I’d have a hundred million dollars in the bank but I’d have learnt f*ck all.”

According to Gallagher, it would be a waste of his current artistic space and work. “I’d have actually wasted a year of being in the studio with a person like David Holmes. It would be the death of me as a person.”

He also added that he “could understand if we were a band who’d been going for five years and were just at our peak, but Oasis have got no unfinished business. We did it. We f*cking did it, and then some. It’s done.”

So there you have it. Given the rather testy relationship between the two brothers in the past, its probably a safe bet that a reunion isn’t in the cards anytime soon.
