Marilyn Manson has built his career on pushing boundaries, both within music and beyond, and for his shocking and controversial imagery. But even Manson has a line.

The edgy metal icon has split with his longtime bassist Twiggy Ramirez after allegations of rape surfaced from Jack Off Jill singer Jessicka Addams. Addams claimed that Ramirez became increasingly physical while the two were dating in the 90’s.

According to Addams, “he [Ramirez] forced me on to the floor with his hand around my neck,” she wrote on Facebook. “I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough that Pete came in rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved.”

In response to the disturbing allegations, Manson has dropped Ramirez from the group and decided to share his thoughts on social media. “I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White [Ramirez born-name] as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.”

“I knew Jessicka and Jeordie had a romantic relationship many years ago and I considered and still consider Jessicka to be a friend,” Manson said in a previous statement. “I knew nothing about these allegations until very recently and am saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress.”

Fans of Manson already received disturbing news just the other day when former guitarist Daisy Berkowitz passed away.
