Pitchfork has reported that Grimes and her friend/collaborator HANA have formed new group, entitled Trashique. The duo’s first recording is a cover of the Tegan and Sara song “Dark Come Soon,” recorded as part of an album of covers entitled The Con X: Covers. The record is a track by track adaptation of the 2007 Tegan and Sara classic The Con and proceeds from sales of the album will be donated to the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which supports “economic justice, health, and representation for LGBTQ girls and women.” The album will also feature the likes of Hayley Williams, CHVRCHES, and Sara Bareilles among many others.

Since 2015’s massive indie hit Art Angels, Grimes has been laying low, though reports are that she is currently working on her 5th studio album, which is inspired by the video game Dark Souls 3. Grimes has become famous for her dark electronic sound and icy vocal style, winning her a devoted legion of fans.

This is not the first time HANA and Grimes have collaborated with each other, having done so numerous times like last year when they worked together on seven different music videos while touring Europe.
