King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard promised to release five full-length albums this year, and they’re looking to make good on that promise. Three LP’s deep, the group just released new song “Crumbing Castle,” and some accompanying visuals.

Right off the bat, the track calls back of 70’s/80’s jazz, think Billy Cobham and Chic Corea with some Parliament and some psychedelic rock mixed in. It’s groovy and trippy and awesome. The eleven minute odyssey hits a kaleidoscope of genres, transitioning towards the doom end of the spectrum by the time the whole thing wraps up.

The accompanying visuals are full of lo-fi visual effects, something that you’d find as a screensaver on your Windows ’98 computer. The jazz outfit recently appeared at this year’s Beaches Brew Festival along with Thee Oh Sees, Shellac, and The Coathangers.
