This Friday at noon, tickets go on sale for KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas. The festival will be hosted at The Forum on December 9th and 10th. KROQ has once again put together a stellar line up of bands.

On Day One, fans can see nine different bands ranging from heavy metal to hip-hop. British duo, Royal Blood, will perform blues rock hits from their 2014 self titled album as well as their latest album, How Did We Get So Dark?. The groundbreaking (or should I say genre-breaking) group Judah & the Lion will perform pastiche of unique songs that combine rock with pop, hip-hop, and folk as pointed out in their recent album Folk Hop N’ Roll. The Cold War Kids will perform songs from their latest album LA DIVINE. The hip-hop duo, Run the Jewels, will continue their crazy touring schedule as the acoustic festival as well. New Supergroup, Prophets of Rage, which features Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Will of Rage Against the Machine, TheMachine, Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy, and B-Real of Cypress Hill, will be in attendance to show off their new self-titled album. After they leave the stage, the night will finish with some renowned rock groups such as Rise Against, Queens of the Stone Age, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Muse. Rise Against and Queens of the Stone Age will play songs from their new album Wolves, and Villains. Both Muse and Thirty Seconds to Mars have released recent singles (“Dig Down,” and “Walk on Water.”, and coulee release more in time for the festival.

Day two will be just as dynamic. The night will start off with a performances from alternative rock groups Vance Joy, X Ambassadors, and Walk The Moon. Vance Joy has just released the single”Lay It On Me,” while Walk the Moon have released “One Foot,” and “Headphones.” X Ambassadors have released slew of singles this year (“Hoping,”, “Torches,” “The Devil You Know,” and “Ahead of Myself.”) Another well-known alt-rock band, Phoenix, will perform songs off their latest album Ti Amo, along with classic hits like “1901.” Foster The People will perform songs off their latest album, Sacred Hearts Club, to round out the alternative rock energy at the show. The Lumineers will bring their seamless blend of folk and rock, that they have perfected on their recent album Cleopatra, to the show, and if fans are lucky will perform one of their recent Bob Dylan covers. Fan favorites, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer and The Killers, will bring some energetic and pulsing rock energy to the stage. Weezer will perform some of their new singles like, “Weekend Woman,” and “Beach Boys,” while The Killers will showcase their new album Wonderful Wonderful. Morrissey, the lead singer of The Smiths, will finish the night with recent single “Spend the Day in Bed,” and hopefully some classic Smiths staples such as “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want.”
