Rise against has an album on the way and as many bands do, they were planning to shoot a music video in preparation for it. Things did not go as planned though, because a board of directors who granted the permit for the shooting location decided the aim was too “Anti Government,” and shut them down as Loudwire reports.
The idea behind the video was going to be addressing the question of whether violence is inherit or a choice with some open busts of U.S. presidents. They put out a Facebook post explaining the situation.
The gist of this post is that they were trying to show the power on both sides and how it relates the violence in general. The band also said that no matter what anyone says, they are going to use their music platform to have a voice and no one can ever quiet them down. This band is taking a stand for what they feel matters and it appears that is what their album is going to do.
Be sure to Check out the album Wolves coming out June 9th, which is currently out for pre-order. Also, they are prepping to headline a tour with Deftones starting the same day as the album release so check them out on the road!
