“Weird Al” Yankovic Announces Spring 2018 The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour

“Weird Al” Yankovic is obviously known for making parody specific songs by contemporary musical acts. The beloved Grammy Award winning comedian has been making the world laugh for the past three decades with plethora of parody songs such as “Word Crimes,” “Tacky” and “Foils” off his Mandatory album. Yet even though Yankovic has been very successful making the world laugh with his antics, it seems that the satire singer is going in a different direction with his career as he announces that his upcoming tour The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour next year will show a different side of him.

After coming off his highly successful Mandatory World Tour in 2014, Yankovic decided that he wants to take a break from the high-octane theatrics that he’s known for and go bare-bones. The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour which will begin next year February 27th all the way to June 10th, will consist of Yankovic and his band of three decades hanging out on stage, playing music in intimate theaters.Instead of focusing on the hits from his career, the shows will feature Yankovic’s non-parody material – the deep cuts and obscure tracks. With an impressive discography of 14 studio albums, Yankovic promises to deliver a different set list every night, making sure that throughout the tour, no show will be the same. In a press release, Yankovic described coming up with the direction of the tour stating “After 35 years of big productions, I just wanted to take it down a few notches and have a little musical palate cleanser. This show will be loose, unpredictable, and maybe a bit sloppy – we’ll be making it up as we go along!” Below you can checkout the tour dates to The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour and catch “Weird Al” Yankovic in a city near you.
