Death Grips, your favorite band that broke up but not really and the blueprint to Yeezus, have been getting ready for a little tour across the country along with noise counterparts Ministry. The tour, which will kick off this Friday, received a promotional video to get fans hype and featured an electronic drum solo from Zach Hill.
Now, on the eve of the tour, Death Grips released the full 11-minute track of Hill solo. In case the video wasn’t enough proof, this track will probably melt your brain slightly. The single-take solo plays out over some Roland V-Drums, and is electronic shredding in its purest form. If you ever wanted to know what it sounded like to travel through the literal internet, this is it.
The two noise outfits will set off on tour this week. Death Grips last release came back in May with the release of a 22-minute track, “Steroids (Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber Megamix).”Check out the 11-minute solo below.
