Sometimes fans have to wait months to listen to their favorite band’s new music but for fans of Belle & Sebastian, they don’t have to wait very long. The Glasgow indie pop band have announced three new releases giving fans three reasons to be happy.

In celebration of the 20 years that have passed since the last time the band released three consecutive EPs with 1997’s Dog On Wheels, Lazy Line Painter Jane, and 3..6..9 Seconds Of Light, Belle & Sebastian have announced news that starting this December they will release three more EPs in quick succession.

The three EP’s share the same title with How To Solve Our Human Problems and will include 5 new tracks each with a grand total of 15 brand new tracks from the band. The first release is set to come out December 8th, the second on January 19th and the third on February 16th on vinyl and digitally. When the third is released in February, the band will compile How To Solve Our Human Problems into a vinyl boxed set for fans to enjoy in its entirely.

In honor of their announcement, Belle & Sebastian recently shared a new song which can be found on EP2 called “I’ll Be Your Pilot. Fans can listen to it here. The song’s theme lies in Stuart Murdoch’s young son: “Having your first kid is a huge event, so I wrapped a lot of things I felt about Denny into the song. Being a dad made me feel a little like the pilot in The Little Prince, hence all the references to the Sahara!”
