tUne-yArDs Announces Winter 2017 Tour Dates

As the fall begins, so does the start of end of the year tour dates. Beginning in November, tUnE-yArDs will head out performing in several U.S. and European shows according to Pitchfork. The fall tour will includes a stop at Le Guess Who Festival in the Netherlands which was curated by Perfume Genius, Grouper, and Shabazz Palaces. For a complete list of dates, check out below.

tUnE-yArDs is the music project of New England native Merrill Garbus who creates drum loops on the spot as she layers them with ukulele and vocals with additional support from Nate Brenner who plays the electric bass. The two aren’t alone while touring. They are joined on stage by a slew of touring members including Jo Lampert who was cast this year as part of David Byrne’s new musical Joan of Arc: Into the Fire.

The last album produced by tUnE-yArDs was in 2014 with Nikki Nack but there are no official word whether there will be a follow-up. Though it was revealed earlier this week that those involved with the music project spent the past year at John Vanderslice’s Tiny Telephone studio. Fans of Garbus and her music project are crossing their fingers if this means new music in their future.

The group are planning to play alongside My Morning Jacket during their New Year’s Eve three night run of shows in Broomfield, Colorado. All the tUnE-yArDs shows are listed below.
