Ad-Rock of Beastie Boys Scoring New Comedy Truth About Lies

Beastie Boys’ Ad-Rock, also known as Adam Horowitz, will be a part of an upcoming comedy film The Truth About Lies. This follows the band lifting no-ads policy for Destiny 2. The film will be showing on October 27th.

According to Pitchfork, the film was directed, written and produced by musician Phil Alloco. The film stars Fran Kranz as Gilby, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Odette. The film surrounds the plot of Gilby having a hard time accepting the truth after a breakup and finds himself in a large web of lies as the story progresses. The trailer is shown below.

Ad Rock is a guitarist and songwriter for Beastie Boys since 1982. In addition to the Beastie Boys, the artist has also remixed numerous tracks for other artists under the name of 41 Small StarsThe artist will be composing original music for the movie. The artist has previously done this with different documentaries such as No No: A Dokumentary.
