Fans of the metal band Decapitated heard some rather disturbing news when the band was arrested toward the beginning of September on the charge of first-degree kidnapping, and were accused of gang raping one female (though charges have not been filed). Now, two of the band members, guitarist Waclaw Kieltyka and drummer Michal Lysejko have both been transferred from a L.A. jail to a jail in Spokane County in Washington.
The incident first allegedly happened on August 31 at a show in Spokane, and involved two females on their tour bus. One of the woman claimed that she escaped the bus and rape by kicking one of the members in the groin after he became aggressive toward her in a bathroom, though that woman was later stopped on a DUI charge.
There are several holes in the accusations though. A new police report stated that witness offered a different account than that of the females involved. One volunteer at the venue told police that he witnessed the two women “groping” band members earlier in the night. He also stated that he would later see them smoking a cigarette outside with one of the females later, while she was talking angrily on her cell phone.
The alleged victim was later pulled over by a state patrol officer on drunk driving charges, though sexual assault wasn’t mentioned until she was in custody outside of the Spokane County Jail. The state trooper claimed that “she spoke to someone on the phone and then said to him that her friend was raped by five men downtown.”
The band sternly denies the accusations. Their attorney Steven Graham claimed “We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit the band of her own free will and left on good terms. The accuser has a documented history of providing false information to the police dating back to 2014.”
The remaining band members are still awaiting extradition.
