Ibeyi Releases New Video for “I Wanna Be Like You” Directed by Remi Besse and Produced By Standard Films

Ibeyi has released a music video for “I Wanna Be Like You”, which is a song from the album Ash. This music video follows the release of videos for “Deathless” and “Me Voy”, which are also a part of this album.

This song was dedicated to Lisa-Kaindé’s twin Naomi and their difference in personality.  According to the press release, Lisa-Kaindé explained “Sometimes I want to be like Naomi. I want her eyes, to feel the rhythm as deeply as she does, to dance like her, to be as wild as she is; sometimes I just want to be her for even a few seconds.”

Directed by Remi Besse and produced by Standard Films, the video was shot in France in stars the twins. The video starts out with the twins with opposite colors on opposites surfaces. Through out the video, there are parallel universes, with their colors, that the twins go through. Throughout the other times of the video the twins join together. Everything comes together to show that the two are complete opposites. The video is shown below.
