The iconic rock band Grandaddy has a special surprise for their fans. The band has announced the 20th Anniversary reissue edition of Grandaddy’s now-classic debut album, Under The Western Freeway, which is expected to come out October 20th, just a day before the album’s original release date of October 21, 1997.
The deluxe vinyl reissue will come with a seperate LP with eight unreleased trakcs and demos, also the first 250 orders will receive an exclusive bonus cassette titled Practice 97, which features eight unreleased recordings from a 1997 Grandaddy band practice.
This vinyl-only re-release features two pieces of colored vinyl. The first one features the original record, as it was originally intended to be released, and the other an eight-song collection of demos from 1997, never before heard.
The demo LP includes sketches of songs that have become fan favorites over the years, such as “Bjork ELO Xanadu and the Birth of Chartsengrafs”, which would go on to make its debut on the band’s follow-up, The Sophtware Slump, and the fan-favorite “For The Dishwasher.”
