Whoever put “the reunion of a legendary punk rock band,” on their Christmas list this year is in for the holiday of a lifetime. The Misfits are bringing the heat to Sin City this December as the original group just announced a special reunion show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein will be gracing the stage for the people of Las Vegas on Dec. 28, before heading to Los Angeles for an additional show on Dec. 30 at The Forum.
According to a post from the group’s official Facebook page, they decided to add a stop in Las Vegas after tickets for The Forum sold out in under 60 seconds. Tickets will go on sale on Friday September 29th at 10 a.m. PST, and pre-sale tickets will be available to citi cardmembers beginning on Tuesday, September 26 at 10 a.m. PST. Opening acts for the show will be none other than fellow rockers Alkaline Trio and Fear.
Frontman Glenn Danzig gave fans hope for a possible reunion concert after admitting he was open to playing more Misfit shows back in May. The news came as a surprise for some, since Danzig said he was “unsure” that they’d ever come out with another album the year prior. The group recently reunited at the end of 2016 for Chicago’s Riotfest.
