ASOT continues to be a hotbed for new trance music. The show, founded in 2001, has had 832 episodes over the past 16 years. Each Thursday at 2 pm EST, Armin Van Buuren and Ruben de Ronde debut new songs from popular trance artists on radio stations, their various streaming accounts like Spotify and iTunes, their interactive website and their youtube station. In 2003, the show became a subsidiary label for Armada Music. As the show has taken off, they have evens started participating at music festivals like Ultra and Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC). They have also begun an annual live celebration in The Netherlands.
BT continues to use his classical training to revitalize House and Trance music. The DC native began training on classical piano at the age of 13, and went on to attend Berklee School of Music for a year before he decided to drop out. This classical training translates to the orchestral build heard in many of his songs including “LTSM.”
