Webcast: Watch the Texas Strong: Harvey Can’t Mess With Texas Benefit Concert Livestream

Tonight, some of the biggest musicians from the genres of rock, folk and country take the stage together to raise money for relief after Hurricane Harvey devastated southeast Texas. The star studded concert will take place tonight at 7 PM PST at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. While most folks will not be able to make the trip out to watch the concert in person (besides, the concert sold out almost immediately, so good luck finding tickets), you can watch this extraordinary gathering of talent from the comfort of your own home. The livestream of this festival will start at 7 PM PST, and will include all of the amazing performances from artists like Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Paul Simon, Leon Bridges, Lyle Lovett and more. Also appearing at the festival are celebrities like Matthew McConaughey, Renee Zellweger, Andy Rodick and Brooklyn Decker. Check it out below:

TEGNA, Inc. is the company behind the broadcast in a partnership with Debra Davis Productions. Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Rebuild Texas Fund – and Google will match the first $500,000 of donations. You can donate in a number of ways: you can call 1-833-2-HELPTX where volunteers will take your payment; text RebuildTX to 91999; going online to www.RebuildTX.org; by mailing a check with “Rebuild Texas Fund” on it to OneStar Foundation, 9011 Mountain Ridge Drive, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78759.

Hurricane Harvey dumped an unprecedented amount of rainfall on the region, resulting in massive floods that took the lives of over 80 people. The hardest hit cities were those along Texas’ gulf coast, including the sprawling metropolis of Houston, which experienced significant damage from wind and flood waters. The damage from this massive tropical storm is estimated to top $70 billion dollars.
