Rock singer/songwriter Marilyn Manson has been spending sometime this year preparing for the release of new album Heaven’s Upside Down. While on tour Manson performed from his new album like “Say 10,” “1°,” “Revelation No. 12,” and “We Know Where You Fucking Live.” Two months later and Manson has decided to release a video to his upcoming album’s lead single “We Know Where You Fucking Live” as Manson prepares for Heaven’s Upside Down to drop next month while adding on to his legacy.
Marilyn Manson has been known to create music videos with extreme levels of shock value. The controversy and impact from videos such as “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)”, “The Beautiful People” and “The Dope Show” has helped create his legacy within the music industry and according to Consequence of Sound it seems that the visuals to “We Know Where You Fucking Live” is no different. The video shows of Manson leading a group of promiscuous looking nuns with machine guns walking around suburban culdesac terrorizing a family. You can see how Manson uses images of the religion that is usually used as symbol of protection for quiet suburban families as a way of frightening them with acts of violence and lust.
