S U R V I V E Members Win Emmy for Stranger Things Main Theme

While the central portion of the Emmy’s taking place on Sunday, a handful of early awards have already been given out at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. S U R V I V E took home the Emmy for Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music for their title theme music to the Netflix smash hit Stranger Things as reported by Stereogum. Primary songwriters Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein were behind the composition and appeared at the awards ceremony to receive their trophies.

The band has become known for their eclectic blend of experimental soundscapes and vintage synthesizer sounds, which made them ideal composers for the soundtrack to the 80’s themed Stranger Things.  S U R V I V E has been confirmed as the composers for the sound to the second season of Stranger Things though no release date has been set by Netflix for the show’s return.
