The Italian electronic dance group, The Bloody Beetroots have announced their third studio album is about to arrive this October and will be titled The Great Electronic Swindle. The new album will encompasses 17 tracks and will feature multiple artists that will no doubt blow fans away.
“This is the first time I have used so many vocalists and lyrics in The Bloody Beetroots music.
says Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo of The Bloody Beetroots, the founder of the group. “I chose the greatest vocalists I knew that could help tell the story of about four years of life,”
The Great Electronic Swindle features hardcore collaborations with bands that live and breathe rock. These guest appearances include Gallows, Anders Friden of In Flames, Deep Valley and JET. The later have come together for their first recording in seven years with the single, “My Name Is Thunder. On top of these amazing collaborations, other appearances include Greta Svabo Bech, Eric Nalley (Foxy Shazam) and Mr Talkbox. This 17 song collections feature three instrumentals from The Bloody Beetroots, “The Day Of The Locust,” “10,000 Prophets” and Saint Bass City Rocks.
About the new record’s interesting title, Rifo commented that “The title is a tribute to the Sex Pistols and the film ‘The Great Rock and Roll Swindle’ directed by Julian Temple. It was a sign of the end of an era. The end of Punk. I want to reclaim that for electronic music because the business squeezed the genre so much that they delivered the end of electronic music itself. We are living in a great electronic swindle. People don’t even realize who is the artist, the producer and who deserves to be called an artist in this genre. There is much great music out there but it is completely covered by trash. You just have to dig. There’s so much shit around.”
The new album, which features two versions of “My Name Is Thunder” as well both “Saint Bass City Rockers,” and Pirates Punks & Politics,” is set to be released next month on October 20th through Last Gang Records.
