The Babe Rainbow – The Babe Rainbow

Good Vibes Only

The Babe Rainbow released their debut self-titled album The Babe Rainbow and it definitely stands out amongst other albums released in the past couple of months. This album has the perfect blend of old-school beach vibes, along with a fresh take on the psychedelic music scene.

The album starts off with track, “Losing Something,” and it lets the listener know that they are in for something great right off the bat. The track offers a laid back feeling with the amount of tambourine in it that continues on throughout the whole album.

One of the best tracks on the album is early on and is titled, “Peace Blossom Boogy.” It is the type of song that can get anyone tapping their foot without even noticing it. Through and through it brings the positive energy that one can expect from The Babe Rainbow.

“Superstition Shadow Walk” is the next track that stands out on the album. Not only is it another toe-tapper, it also comes off as one of the more complex tracks on the album. For a fairly simplistic sound, The Babe Rainbow has a lot of layers to offer, and it definitely shows on this track.

While the album has a strong finish, one of the most stand-out final tracks would be “Charms Travel.” This track takes the chance to really showcase the vocals of The Babe Rainbow, which sometimes can be lost in the music. It’s a nice refresher on all of the qualities that come with a product of The Babe Rainbow.

There aren’t many tracks that stand out as weak links on this album, which makes sense because fans of The Babe Rainbow have been patiently waiting for a full-length album. It shows in this album that they took their time to focus on producing a high-quality album for listeners.
