New York born rapper Westside Gunn took to his Instagram account to announce that he will be releasing a collaborative project called WESTSIDEDOOM with fellow rapper DOOM that Gunn called “the RAWEST, FLYEST, GRIMIEST shit you’ve ever heard IN YA LIFE.” With these two artists behind the music and The Alchemist and Daringer as producers, his claim likely isn’t far from the truth. While no release date has been set quite yet, fans have the chance to listen to a sample of what the duo has been working on through Gunn’s Instagram post. Check it out for yourself below.
This won’t be the first fans have heard DOOM and The Alchemist working together, after the duo collaborated on DOOM’s track entitled “Doomsayer,” just last month as a part of the notebook series. The rapper has been releasing new songs through Adult Swim in the form of “Notebooks,” a series of singles that include unreleased music or future collaborative tracks from “The Missing Notebook Rhymes.” In the beginning of August, the offices of Adult Swim received the folder from DOOM himself containing 15 different songs. Since then, the network has been releasing a new song from the folder every week through their website, with the latest one being a track featuring Kool Keith, click here to listen. Tomorrow will be the fifth notebook drop.
