Mark Kozelek Releases New Stream-of-Consciousness Song “The Black Butterfly” from Collaborative Album with Ben Boye and Jim White

Sun Kil Moon’s Mark Kozelek has plans to release even more music after already releasing a collaborative album with Sean Yeaton of Parquet Court this year. Accoring to the Brooklyn Vegan, Kozeleks says he’s got another collaborative LP in the works, this time the new album is with Jim White of Dirty Three and Nick Cave and Ben Boye. The album is set to come out October 6th.

You can check out their new song, “The Black Butterfly” as well. The whole record will be streaming live on SunKilMoon.com on October 1st. Viewers will also get to see Mark Kozelek talk about the new record with legendary producer Tony Visconti.

Sun Kil Moon will be heading out on tour this fall with Magik Magic Orchestra, and the NYC show (Town Hall on October 6) and a few other have him joined by Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley on drums, and Josh Haden.
