American indie pop band Tennis recently released their fourth album, Your Conditionally in early 2017. The band’s album peaked at no. 3 on Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart. Aside from their latest album, Tennis has continued to push the boundaries of their music. Tennis’ music has ranged from pop to lo-fi and everything in between. The band currently includes Patrick Riley and Alaina Moore. Tennis is currently touring in support of their latest album.
The band first formed in while in college in 2008. Before their first album, Tennis released their Baltimore EP in 2010. A year later, Tennis released their debut album, Cape Dory. The album began to boost the Tennis fan base. Tennis released their second album, Young & Old in 2012. The album featured the lead single “Origins”. Between 2011 – 2012, Tennis released a couple self-released covers of various hits. During the 2012 year, Tennis made TV appearances promoting their new music.
Tennis released a 5 song EP, Small Sound in late 2013. Tennis went on to tour alongside Haim on their North American tour. Ritual in Repeat, Tennis’ third album was released in fall 2014 to huge praise. While sailing, Tennis blogged about their travel with Urban Outfitters. Yours Conditionally was released March 5, 2017, reaching the top of the charts. Tennis has since toured with Spoon and the Shins.
