Wavves and Joyce Manor are bringing pop-punk and rock together for a cross country tour. They will be starting in San Diego and wrapping around the country until they reach Berkeley. Their first concert is going to be October 20. They are sure to be performing their most recent albums. Both co-headliners released brand new material this year. Now they are putting it together for a cross-country tour. The dates and venues have just been confirmed. Tickets go on sale Friday (September 8) at 10 a.m. RSVP and purchase tickets on Joyce Manor’s main website.
Wavves has an upbeat rock-n-roll influence. They released an album called You’re Welcome in May of this year. Everyone in the band plays part in making those harmonies pop. Nathan Williams is the lead vocalist, but the other band members give it life with some backup vocals. Currently Nathan Williams is on guitar with Alex Gates, Steven “Stevie” pope is on bass guitar and Brian Hill is on drums. You can listen to their latest music on soundcloud.
They debuted a highly-anticipated album during their Spring Tour in May. They traveled all over, stopping at places like Austin, Chicago, Toronto and Seattle. Well, now it looks like they’re ready for round two. They will be visiting all of those places for the second time this year with the help of co-headliner four-piece, Joyce Manor.
Acclaimed California-based rock band, Joyce Manor features Barry Johnson on vocals and guitar and Matt Ebert on bass. They are celebrating the release of a new album called Cody. According to one source it’s acclaimed to be Joyce Manor’s best album to date. The album’s title is slightly ironic and the subtle wistful details in the song are what they specialize in. Since 2008, the band has teetered on the pop-punk genre with lot of emphasis on the “pop” side of things. Usually singing about relationships and self-realization, their fast-paced music is usually a head rush. An entire LP was clocked at about 20 minutes. Their new album Cody is available to stream on Soundcloud.
Los Angeles punk band, French Vanilla is going to be opening the show until they reach New Orleans. That’s from October 20-29th. Then another lead-show will take over. That’s when Culture Abuse joins the crew to finish off the rest of the tour. That’s from October 30th to November 22nd.
The full album tour dates have just been released.
