The Front Bottoms, Basement and Bad Bad Hats are coming to the Wiltern Tuesday Nov. 7. The Going Grey Tour begins October 19th and every online ticket purchase includes a pre-order download of the Front Bottoms’ new album Going Grey, available everywhere Oct. 13. Starting in Boston and ending in New York City, Californians get 3 dates but only 1 in Los Angeles. With support from Basement and Bad Bad Suns, the night is sure to be one for the books.
Indie rock duo the Front Bottoms hail from Bergen County, New Jersey. Childhood best friends since the age of ten, guitarist Brian Sella and drummer Mathew Uychich began writing songs together in the sixth grade, according to their Spotify about page. In 2008 they put out their debut album, I Hate My Friends, which was self-released. After a short tour the Front Bottoms put out another self-released album, My Grandmother vs. Pneumonia (2009). The following year they released an EP. After a lineup change, the Front Bottoms signed a record deal with New Jersey independent label Bar/None Records, according to their Spotify page. Their first sponsored album, released in 2011 was simply titled The Front Bottoms. Then came Talon of the Hawk (2013), an EP Rose (2014), a split EP with rapper GDP, and their third studio album Going Grey via Fueled By Ramen Records.
English rock band Basement formed in 2010 in Ipswich, according to they Spotify about page. After a year of being together the band released their debut album I Wish I Could Stay Here in 2011 on Run for Cover Records. In 2012 they released their sophomore album Colourmeinkindness. After a years-long indefinite hiatus they released an EP titled Further Sky (2014). Two years later the band released their third full-length album Promise Everything through Run for Cover. Recently Basement signed to Fueled By Ramen Records and released a new edition of their latest album.
Indie rock band Bad Bad Hats formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota while the members attended college in Saint Paul. The trio caught the eye of local label Afternoon Records and they snatched them up, signing them and releasing their first EP It Hurts in 2013. In 2015 the band released their debut album Psychic Reader. The band has been touring relentlessly since then.
