Misterwives @ The Foundry 10/21

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard “Machine” on the radio. The single comes off the second album, Connect The Dots, from indie pop band Misterwives. The New York based band is currently touring to promote their new album. The band has opened for Bleachers, Panic! At the Disco, Half Moon Run, Walk The Moon, and much more. Misterwives released their debut album Our own House back in January 2015. The band currently consist of lead singer Mandy Lee, guitarist William Hehir, percussionist Etienne Bowler, Jesse Blum, and Mike Murphy. Misterwives is currently signed with Photo Finish Records.

After forming in 2012, Misterwives played their first live show at the Canal Room in February 2013. The indie pop band went to sign a record deal with Photo Finish Records. While touring with various bands for the next year, Misterwives worked on their debut EP. Misterwives released their EP, Reflections, at the beginning of January in 2014. The EP received positive reviews from various music outlets. The band went on to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live and VH1’s Big Morning Buzz, further expanding their fan base.

Misterwives released their debut studio album, Our Own House, on February 24, 2015. After the release of the album, Misterwives launched a series of appearances at various music festivals including LouFest, Austin City Limits, Hangout Fest, Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza. During the spring of 2017, Misterwives toured alongside Panic! At the Disco on their Death of a Bachelor tour. On May 19, 2017, Misterwives released their second album, Connect The Dots. The band is currently on tour in support of the album.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
