Goldenvoice Presents: The Cozy Tour with A$AP Mob feat. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg & More at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Hall 10/24
Another show, another stacked lineup right before Halloween weekend. Get excited for A$AP Mob’s fall tour, the Cozy Tour, with Playboi Carti, Key! and Cozy Boys. One of those 20 coveted tour dates happens to be at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles Oct. 24. It’s sure to be a packed event with A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Twelvyy, A$AP Ant and A$AP Nast all performing as headliners. A$AP Mob officially announced their new mixtape release early August, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy. It was released August 25th through A$AP WORLDWIDE/Polo Grounds/RCA Records. Since the mixtape just came out, concertgoers can be sure to expect to hear some brand new tunes.
Key! and Cozy Boys will be opening up the show and are sure to make the night interesting with their own unique styles. Cozy Boys, also known as A$AP Snacks and A$AP Lou, are A$AP Mob’s reigning tour DJ’s, according to 2016 highsnobiety interview. They met A$AP Rocky through the late A$AP Yams, who helped found the A$AP Mob hip hop collective. Atlanta rapper Key! has been an underground hit for a few years now, picking up guest spots on Father and ILoveMakonnen’s “Look At Wrist” and OG Maco’s “U Guessed It”, as well as releasing “Crazy Brazy” with A$AP Mob. Long story short, these openers have been everywhere and they’ve been really busy.
A$AP Mob, a New York City hip hop collective, is a lengthy list of rappers, record producers, music video directors and fashion designers that share similar interests in music, fashion, style and art, according to 2013 Hypebeast interview. The collective released their first full-length mixtape titled Lords Never Worry (2012). The next year, A$AP Mob began working on their debut album, eventually releasing their debut single, “Trillmatic”, in late 2013. Their debut album, titled Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends, was a dedication to A$AP Yams, and was released in late 2016 and peaked at number four on the Billboard US Rap Charts. Their second album, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy (2017), has received mostly positive reviews from critics so far.
Playboi Carti, a hiphop freshman, was featured on A$AP Mob’s Cozy Tapes Vol.I last year and also grabbed a spot on their latest album. The Atlanta rapper released his debut mixtape Playboi Carti through Interscope and AWGE Records back in April of this year. Though the mixtape received mixed reviews, it debuted at number 12 on the US Billboard 200. The album had three singles – “Lookin'”, “wokeuplikethis*” featuring Lil Uzi Vert and “Magnolia”, which peaked at number 29 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
