Odesza @ Electric Factory 11/20

The Seattle based electronic music duo Odesza is gearing up for the release of their upcoming studio album, A Moment Apart, due this September. Odesza has released multiple singles off the forthcoming album including, “Meridian” and “Higher Ground”. Both singles reached the mid-30s on the music charts. Odesza released their debut album, Summer’s Gone, back in 2012. Over time, the album became more popular in the underground music community. The Grammy nominated duo has made appearances at Coachella, Firefly Music, SXSW, and much more. As Odesza continues to grow, their fan base only gets bigger.

Duo Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight met in their freshman year of college. Odesza didn’t form until their senior year, both showing an interest in music. Odesza went on to release their debut album during the fall of 2012. A few months later, Odesza opened for Teen Daze and Beat Connection in Washington. After the show, Odesza began to rake in millions of plays on Soundcloud. Odesza released their debut EP, My Friends Never Die in 2013. Odesza’s first headline tour began in 2014, stretching all across the US. During the month of October, Odesza sold out over 20 shows for their In Return North America tour.

Odesza continued to grow, earning over 24 #1 tracks on the music blog website Hype Machine. In 2015, Odesza founded Foreign Family Collective. Their mission was to give musicians a space to get their voice heard. The foundation also helps release single tracks created by members of the Foreign Family Collective. Odesza sold out their 2015 In Return Fall tour, afterwards releasing a new video for the single, “It’s Only” in 2016. Aside from releasing new music this year, Odesza announced a world wide tour to support their upcoming album.
