According to the press release Tove Lo explains that “Fire Fade” is for the fans. She says “When the fairy dust starts to wear off and you can’t fully reach the highs anymore — though you’re desperately trying to — it’s a struggle with the mind. It was also the most physically challenging thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never been in so much pain on a shoot before! But it was worth it and was such a huge thing for me to be able to do for this chapter. Can’t wait for my babes to see it!!”
