After 15 years, five albums, and a handful of EP and split releases, it looks like Trap Them is throwing in the towel. The band hasn’t issued any sort of explanation just yet, just a photo announcing three final live dates and the start and end years for the band.
Though nothing definite, it’s hard to imagine anything more clearly a break-up statement than “final shows.” The band has made a definite splash on the hardcore scene as one of the most badass live shows imaginable, led by vocalist Ryan McKenney’s insane stage antics, such as breaking both ankles on stage and continuing on with the show late last year.
The band will play Saint Vitus Bar in New York on November 10 before heading north for a lone Canadian stop at Montreal’s Turbo Haus on November 11. Then they’ll head back to Boston to finish things off on November 12.
Trap Them delivered their fifth LP Crown Feral last year via Prosthetic Reocrds, which was, without a doubt, another evolutionary step forward in the band’s subtle refining of their chaotic sound.
Take a look at the tour dates below.
