Morrissey Announces Hollywood Bowl Concert and New Album Low In High School for November 2017 Release

Low in High School is going to be Morrissey’s first album with his new label, Etienne Records. It’s being called a landmark record. Fans have been waiting for another album to be released after the solo album he did in 2014 World Peace is None of your Business.

Now Low in High School is going to be his first studio album since 2014. This new album will be a collaboration of Morrissey and BMG. It is being produced by Joe Chiccarelli, who is notable for his achievements with Frank Zappa, The Strokes, Beck and the White Stripes.

Low in High School was recorded at La Fabrique Studios in France and Ennio Morricone’s Forum Studios in Rome. A prevalent theme in his work combines beautiful melodies with political statements capturing the essence of today’s world.

Tour dates have not been announced, besides LA’s most iconic venue, The Hollywood Bowl on Friday, November 10. Morrissey has had a successful career as a solo artist after rising to fame as frontman of The Smiths.

All ten of his solo efforts landed somewhere in the Top 10 in the United Kingdom album charts. His debut album Viva Hate was released in 1988. Since then he released several critically acclaimed follow-ups including Kill Uncle and Your Arsenal. Another very successful comeback album called You are the Quarry was released after a five year hiatus.
