Leave it to Weezer to announce an upcoming album, and at the same time drop the perfect summer anthem to get us even more hyped. The American rock band will be coming out with a new album entitled Pacific Daydream on Oct. 27 via Crush Music/Atlantic Records, the anticipated followup to last year’s Weezer (White Album). They’ve also provided a single called “Mexican Fender” along with the announcement, the second track released from the upcoming project after “Feels Like Summer.”
The new single about meeting a babe in Santa Monica comes with a music video featuring a seagull as the protagonist. Its been published on YouTube for three days and has reached almost 200,000 views. Scroll below to watch and listen to the feel good three-minute track.
Weezer has been featured on several festival lineups this year, including the Float Festival alongside Passion Pit and Cage the Elephant, and SXSW 2017 in Austin, TX last March.
