Some of the best punk rock bands have come out of Canada including Comeback Kid. The formed in 2000 under the leadership of Andrew Neufeld and Jeremy Hiebert. Comeback Kid was supposed to be a side project while their band, Four Figures was on a hiatus. After the release of their debut album, “Turn It Around” in 2003, Comeback Kid began to blossom into a full-time gig. The band began to make appearances at major rock festivals like the Posi Numbers festival. Comeback Kid released their fifth and latest album, Die Knowing, March 2014 via Victory Records.
Two years after the release of their debut album, Comeback Kid released their second album, Wake the Dead. The album peaked at no. 16 on the US Heatseekers Chart. The album did better than the band’s previous, making it Comeback Kid’s first chart-topping album. After touring the whole summer in support of the album, vocalist Scott Wade left the band the same year. The band was back to touring in a few months. In 2007, Comeback Kid went on a short hiatus.
In 2008, the band released a documentary detailing the early years of the band. After two more years of touring, Comeback Kid took a step back to write new music in 2010. Towards the end of the year, the band released their fourth album, Symptoms + Cures. The album peaked at no. 26 on the US Heatseekers Chart. In early 2013, Comeback Kid announced a new fifth album, Die Knowing, to be released the following year. The band released the album on March 4, 2014, under Victory Records.
