Former One Direction band member, the one and only Niall Horan will be performing at the Masonic this November 22. In case I didn’t get your attention already, Niall Horan is coming to San Francisco, and yes, you should be as excited as I am!
Niall Horan, an Irish artist, born on September 13th, 1993, is best known for being a member of former One Direction band, one of the most known and successful boy bands in history. Niall was one of the band’s most prolific songwriters, whose talent wasn’t limited to that, but he was and still is an excellent guitarist and singer as well. Horan’s way to success goes back to his childhood where he taught himself how to play guitar through YouTube videos, started writing songs and found out he was good at singing too. In 2010, at the age of sixteen, Niall auditioned and began competing on the talent show The X Factor, where he met Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, who would go from being competitors at the show to future bandmates. This union happened with the help of one of the T.V. show’s judges, Simon Cowell, who along with Katy Perry brought the guys together to form a band. Luckily, the band became a success after releasing their first album, Up All Night, which was worldwide hit, and well, the rest is history. However, in January 2016, the band decided it was time for them to take a break and invest more time on their single projects, and this was no exception for Niall, who soon after the hiatus he started pursuing his solo-career. In that same year, Horan announced he had a single coming out, “This Town,” which is characterized as being a romantic acoustic ballad and became his debut as a solo-career artist. A few months later, the former One Direction member released his second single “Slow Hands,” which was a huge success globally and a personal achievement for the artist as well.
Horan has proved not only the world but himself also, that with passion, commitment and resiliency he can do anything. His success didn’t end with One Direction’s hiatus; instead, he found an opportunity to work on his solo projects. He is and will be performing at several concerts this year, including at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas and of course here in San Francisco at the Masonic venue, so be prepared to sing along the romantic ballads.
