As reported by ThePRP, The band Ghost treated fans to a special appearance of a choir from the Belper Junior Musical Theatre to assist with their song, “Monstrance Clock” at this past weekend’s ‘Bloodstock Open Air‘ in the UK.
Given the bands history of using theatrical elements to enhance their performance, it’s no surprise they invited the choir to help sing “Monstrance Clock”. The group’s vocals bring a new element to the song, that is very appreciated.
According to Loudwire, Forge has given fans a hint about what the next album might sound like. “Having in mind that the previous record was about the absence of God or the absence of deities, this new one is going to be about the return of God,” the musician said. “You know, God’s wrath cast upon the suffering humans, so it will be a little bit more biblical in that sense, which in turn makes it darker, a little bit more apocalyptic, I think. That’s basically what I can tell you about it right now.”
Despite the success Forge feels like Ghost is more of project than a solo or band. He says, “I actually refer to it as the earlier of the two options. Even though I’ve never wanted it that way, but at the end of the day, that is what it is. So I think it speaks clear for itself. I mean, I started it in 2006, and no one that was ever in the band in 2016 was even on the first record. Call it solo, if you want to, but I call it a project.”
The Swedish heavy metal recording a fourth studio album to be released in August of next year.
