Denzel Curry is an American rapper from Carol City, Florida. On September 3, 2013, Denzel Curry released his debut album, Nostalgic 64. Denzel Curry is known for his bold and loud lyrics which also translates to the trap music genre. Denzel’s debut album was listed as one of the top 10 albums of 2013 by Pitchfork Magazine. Since 2013, Denzel Curry has continued to grow as a musical artist. In 2016, Denzel Curry was featured on the cover of XXL’s 2016 Freshman Class edition. Earlier this year, Denzel Curry released an EP titled 13 with an album in the works.
While attending high school in Miami, Denzel Curry worked hard on his debut album. Denzel Curry released his debut mixtape, King Remembered Underground Tape 1991-1995 in September 2011. Denzel Curry became a member of SpaceGhostPurrp’s rap group, Raider Klan after hearing Curry’s mixtape. The following year, Denzel Curry continued his solo career after the disbandment of Raider Klan. Denzel released his second mixtape, King of the Mischievous South Vol I Underground Tape 1996, in 2012. The mixtape caught the attention of rapper Earl Sweatshirt, putting Denzel Curry on the path to greatness. Denzel didn’t release his third mixtape, Strictly for My R.V.I.D.X.R.S, until after the death of Trayvon Martin. Trayvon and Denzel both lived in Carol City and went to the same high school.
On Denzel Curry’s debut album featured guest features from JK The Rapper, Nell, Robb Bank$, and Lil Ugly Mane. Denzel Curry released a double EP, titled 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms in 2015. On May 13th, 2017, Denzel Curry debuted a new track, “Hate Government” to his social media accounts. Throughout the year, Denzel Curry teased songs to his fans from his upcoming album, 13. Fans can expect Denzel Curry to release an album soon.
