GWAR Announces New Album The Blood Of Gods for October 2017 Release

On October 20th, The Blood Of Gods will be released by GWAR. It expresses emotions about humanity’s rise against what is wrong with the world. GWAR shows humans as what they think they are, “a parasitic disease that must be eradicated before they suck the planet dry”

The new album pays tribute to one of their fallen band members, Dave ‘Oderus Urungus’ Brockie. The title of the album refers to the loss of Urungus. A new sound came to the band after his death. The band made statement when they announced the release of their new album recently saying,
“The struggles and triumphs that produced the new sound of the band. Born of adversity, The Blood of Gods is a sonic scar…a question asked and answered…Death cannot kill GWAR. Nothing can.”

Over a year ago GWAR’s new vocalist, Blothar mentioned on Facebook that the band was reuniting to release their 14th album. He said in a post,

“Yes, GWAR has united itself to record yet another disasterpiece and it has been secretly in the writing phase for months in a crackhouse of seclusion in the northside of Chicago. A due date for the record has not been decided but the band is grinding out what may prove to be their most savage and bloodthirsty tracks to date.

Back in March 2017, you may have seen the Warped Tour lineup leak that included bands like GWAR, Hatebreed, Sick of it All and more. During this ongoing tour, they like to spice things up on stage wihile traveling with the Vans Warped Tour.  You may have seen when they brutally murdered American Author’s lead singer Zac Barnett who was in the middle of performing when the band took over the stage.

You can watch the footage caught on tape at the Vans Warped Tour.

American Authors posted the video saying,
“It’s all fun and games until GWAR murders your lead singer”
