Eagles of Death Metal Announce Fall 2017 Headlining Tour Dates

American metal band Eagles of Death Metal announced some new tour dates this morning. These dates are in addition to their major upcoming tour with Mastodon and Russian circles across North America. As if 22 shows in two month wasn’t enough, the madmen over at Eagles tacked on 4 more. For these dates, Eagles of Death Metal will be headlining, and playing without Mastodon and Russian Circles.

Eagles of Death Metal got together way back in 1998 in Palm Desert, California. Thus far, they’ve put together four studio albums of music a good deal less death or metal than you might expect. In fact, the name of the group was intended to be joke. Drummer (and also founder of Queens of the Stone Age) Josh Homme has compared the band’s sound to California desert rock like Canned Heat. Unfortunately, you may also know Eagles of Death Metal as the band that was playing onstage when the infamous 2015 Paris attacks broke out.
