When it comes to Brooklyn singer-songwriter TORRES, there is no skipping out on emotion when it comes to her music. She pours herself into her songs, inviting listeners into her emotional world that’s dark and poetic, raw and brutally honest.
Her debut self-titled album was released in 2013, followed by Sprinter in 2015. Songs like “Honey” and “November Baby” prove the depth of her songwriting capabilities–songs that hit your heart and soul and make you feel that sense of blue darkness that she sings about. “Writing just to save my life,” she sings, and it’s an intensity that is undoubtedly drenched throughout her music. Just recently she’s released two singles from her upcoming album–one called “Three Futures” and the other called “Skim.”
TORRES has opened for Sharon Van Etten, Lady Lamb, and Okkervil River (to name a few), and although this performance might a different venue than what fans are normally used to, it will undoubtedly be heartfelt.
