The Dillinger Escape Plan Announce Final Show

All things must come to an end. Even music has to stop playing sometime.

For the progressive metal band, The Dillinger Escape Plan, the end is just around the corner. The band revealed that they would be breaking up after the release of their album, Dissociative following some final touring.

The end may be approaching but the band isn’t going down without a fight.

With the farewell tour of the band, The Dillinger Escape Plan is coming to a close and will end the year with one final live show. Today, they have announced that their final live show will be held at Terminal 5 in New York on December 29th. Supporting the band with their final show will be Code Orange and Daughters.

Tickets for that show will go on sale Friday, August 11 at 10 am with an AmEx presale that will begin Wednesday, August 9 at 4 pm.

The band’s frontman, Greg Puciator made a statement regarding the band’s end.

“For me, in terms of shows, New York has always been one city on a short list of them, where every Dillinger show felt like a homecoming. Maybe it’s the proximity to New Jersey, maybe because we’re all east coast natives, maybe for it’s largely because it was the location of my first show with the band back in 2001, and maybe a lot of it is just the overall energy of the city itself.”

Supporting the band’s final studio album, Dissociative, which came out last year, The Dillinger Escape Plan has been touring nonstop to give fans a proper goodbye. The band have currently being taking their music overseas during their world tour with stops in Europe, Australia and Israel. It only makes sense to end it where it all began.

“So many incredible shows, unforgettable memories on and offstage, and familiar faces both backstage and in the crowd. Add to that the fact geographically it’s the one city that makes the most sense for anyone traveling from the east or west, or up the coast, and this was kind of a no brainer from the beginning.”
