Alternative rock band The Spill Canvas has been making music for a nearly a decade. The Spill Canvas burst onto the scene with their third album, One Fell Swoop. The album debuted at no. 29 on Billboard Heatseekers chart and no. 47 Top Independent Albums chart. The band continued to build their fan base while touring in support of their albums. Spill Canvas has mixed acoustic and classic rock with their music. The Spill Canvas last album, Gestalt, was released in 2012.
The Spill Canvas released their debut album, Sunsets and Car Crashes, in 2004 under 111 Records. The following two years, the band left their label to sign with Sire Records. The Spill Canvas released an EP titled Denial Feels So Good while working on their new album. In the summer of 2007, The Spill Canvas performed at Vans Warped tour in support of their album. No, Really I’m, The Spill Canvas’ third album was released October 2007. The band went on their Fall tour in North America titled All Your Favorite Sports Tour. In 2008, The Spill Canvas toured with Plain White T’s and The Fold. In the summer of 2008, The Spill Canvas headlined their own tour overseas. Sing It Loud joined the tour as an opening act.
The Spill Canvas released their new album, Gestalt, May 2012. The Spill Canvas went on a brief hiatus before tweeting a new single on Twitter in 2011. The Spill Canvas played their first reunion show in their hometown on 28 October 2011. The Spill Canvas released their new album, Gestalt, on 22 May 2012. The band is currently working on a new album.
