Hear a Snippet of New Sufjan Stevens Song “Mystery of Love” in Trailer for Call Me By Your Name

As reported by Pitchfork, a new Surfjan Stevens song, “Mystery of Love” has been included in the trailer for the film Call Me by Your Name. The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet, tells the story of Elio Perlman (Chalamet) who is spending his summer in Italy with his family when he begins a torrid romance with a 24-year old doctoral student (Hammer).

The movie is based on the 2007 novel of the same name by American author André Aciman. The soundtrack for the film will include two new tracks from Stevens, marking his first new material since 2015’s Carrie and Lowell. Stevens has been busy in recent years, including collaborating with Bryce Dessner of The National in the supergroup Planetarium who just released their first album this past June and have also been playing smattering of live dates. Earlier this year Stevens announced the release of a live album Carrie and Lowell Live, which was released on Youtube and Vimeo last April.
