Father John Misty Deletes Twitter Account

According to Pitchfork, it appears that Joshua Tillman, known to many as Father John Misty, has once again deactivated his Twitter account. This marks the second time that Tillman has deactivated his Twitter account, following a deactivation last fall before the release of his latest album Pure Comedy.

Tillman recently announced to a crowd on a tour stop in Australia that he had completed recording his next album, which will see release in early 2018. Thus, it appears that the pattern of Tillman deactivating his social media during album preparations will continue. Since leaving Fleet Foxes in 2012, Tillman has been racking up accolades and success under the Father John Misty moniker, with Pure Comedy being a smashing critical and commercial triumph, debuting in the top ten on the Billboard albums chart.

A new album will mark yet another piece in an already impressive recording career from Tillman, who has continued to pump out recordings on a consistent basis over the past few years, including a new politically minded song about the firing of FBI director James Comey and a satirical song with Tim Heidecker entitled “I Am a Cuck.”
