Tokimonsta @ The Foundry 10/13

Jennifer Lee, known by her stage name Tokimonsta, is an American producer and DJ. Lee has since collaborated with musical acts like Kool Keith, MNDR, and Justin Timberlake. Lee has been known to use a blend of hip hop with pop beats. Since 2008, Lee has released over 2 studio albums, with her upcoming album, Lune Rouge, to be released this September. This album will be Tokimonsta’s third studio album under her own record label.

Lee started working with music while in college. Tokimonsta signed with Brainfeeder label 2010, making her the first woman on the music label. The same year, Tokimonsta released her debut album, Midnight Menu. December 2010, Tokimonsta was rated the best Los Angeles Lady DJ by LA Weekly. The following year Tokimonsta released an EP, Creature Dreams. Tokimonsta released a side project with fellow musician Suzi Analogue. In 2013 released her second album, Half Shadows under Ultra Records. Tokimonsta would release Desiderium under her own Young Art Records.

Tokimonsta has released hit singles with various artist including Mortal Kombat, Yuna, and Blue Daisy. Tokimonsta helped produce Gavin Turek’s hit single “You’re Invited”. In 2015, Tokimonsta announced her next solo project, Fovere, would be released in 2016. Since then, Tokimonsta has toured appearing at various festivals. Tokimonsta’s next album, Lune Rouge will be released in the fall of 2017.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
