The Black Dahlia Murder Debuts New Song “Nightbringers” Live In Concert

Melodic death metal stalwarts The Black Dahlia Murder unveiled a new song from their upcoming album during their first headlining set on this year’s Summer Slaughter Tour as reported by Metalsucks. The song, titled “Nightbringers” is from the album of the same name, set to be released later this year. The band had been teasing new music in recent months but this is the first full song to be performed from the new album. The record will be released on Metal Blade Records on October 6th.

Musically speaking, “Nightbringers” is a devastating blast of pummeling drums, dark guitars, growled vocals and plenty of intricate harmonic guitar work. The song rides a percussive and dynamic guitar riff along with a smashing drum beat. Much like any classic Black Dahlia Murder song, “Nightbringers” makes excellent use of controlled dissonances to add an off-kilter aspect to the tune. Essentially the listener expects the music to take a more melodic turn, however they are instead treated to a slightly dissonant sound which the listener’s ear is not expecting. This along with a dazzling technical guitar solo and a patented breakdown make for one stellar listen.
