Charli XCX recently released a new track, “Boys” and with it, a new music video that contains a few notable appearances from some popular guys including Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Riz Ahmed, Joe Jonas, Panic! At the Disco’s Brendon Urie, Wiz Khalifa, Will.i.am, Mark Ronson and plenty of others well known crushes of the pop singer.

Charlotte Emma Aitchison is better known as her stage name, Charli XCX and her list of accomplishments goes beyond singer and songwriter. She is a multi award-winning artist who is also a video director, radio host, documentary maker and record label boss and yet she continues to go the distance. Aitchison has won multiple awards including songwriter of the year, a couple of Billboard awards and a long list of nominations at the Grammy’s, BRIT awards and MTV VMA’s.

It is a surprise that her music isn’t playing 24/7 on every radio station. Her latest track comes straight out of her forthcoming third studio album and will have everyone singing along.

The new track, simply titled, “Boys,” is her first release since Number 1 Angel mixtape that came out back in March. The self-directed video is saturated with famous boys doing cute and adorable things behind a bubblegum color setting. Each frame catches one of the ‘boys’ playfully toying with the camera and each shot will have fans smiling for no reason at all. It is a nice touch to include an all male cast, using men to challenge gender stereotypes.

“Boys” is a catchy pop tune that, like her previous songs, will no doubt be stuck in your head the second the music starts to play.

According to Charli XCX who expresses that, “‘Boys’ is my favorite music video I’ve ever made. I just wanna say a big thanks to all the boys involved for totally embracing and understanding my vision and being excited by the concept.” She continues to say that; “no boys were harmed in the making of this video.”

This fall, fans can see Charli XCX as she follows Halsey on her US tour starting in late September. Fans should stay connected to get more news detailing this upcoming tour.
