Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails Calls President Donald Trump a “Complete Fucking Moron”

Trent Reznor has never been the type to bite his tongue when it comes to speaking on political issues. The frontman for the beloved rock band Nine Inch Nails has track record for being vocal about his opinions of constitutional affairs that affect our country, whether the issues directly deals with him or not. According to E! Online in 2005 Nine Inch Nails were scheduled to perform at the MTV Movie Awards, but pulled back because of a disagreement with the television network over the use of a controversy image of former president George W. Bush Jr. as a backdrop to their performance. In 2008 it was reported by Stereogum that the Nine Inch Nails music was being used by the US military as a way of torture, which caused Reznor respond on the rock band’s website with the following:

It’s difficult for me to imagine anything more profoundly insulting, demeaning and enraging than discovering music you’ve put your heart and soul into creating has been used for purposes of torture. If there are any legal options that can be realistically taken they will be aggressively pursued, with any potential monetary gains donated to human rights charities. Thank God this country has appeared to side with reason and we can put the Bush administration’s reign of power, greed, lawlessness and madness behind us.

9 years later the very successful rock star showed that he is still as vocal about political issues as he was over a decade ago during a recent interview with The Village Voice. According to Loud Wire, while expressing his disheartening feelings about Donald Trump, Reznor first shared his reply to a question from one of his children when they asked him about if he thinks that the country’s 45th president was a bad guy by saying “Look, I don’t think he’s a good guy. Some people do. I don’t think he believes in science and I don’t think he believes people should be treated decently and I don’t think he tells the truth. That’s why I don’t like him.” Reznor followed up with a more adult version of his feelings for President Trump in the interview stating “It’s tough, because the president of the United States is a complete fucking moron. That’s what gets me the most — that he’s this vulgar, grotesque dope, everything I hate in people.”
