The Districts Release Upbeat Synthesizer-Driven New Song “Violet”

Atlanta based guitar pop quartet The Districts released their newest single from their album Popular Manipulations today, titled “Violet.” The touches on a wide variety of styles, from the quasi-electronic thump of Animal Collective to the emotional vocals of Bon Iver to the guitar driven power of The Strokes. That being said, The Districts definitely have a distinct sound that doesn’t quite sound like many other bands out there in the current indie scene. Check out “Violet” below:

The band is releasing Popular Manipulations on August 11, 2017 via Fat Possum. If “Violet” is a preview of what to expect from the band’s new album, it will be an emotionally-charged, uplifting chunk of guitar-based indie rock that the scene is fairly desperately in need of.
