The Afghan Whigs have partnered up with Pleasure Club singer James Hall to honor Dave Rosser, a fellow Pleasure Club member, who passed away recently. The Afghan Whig’s new single “You Want Love” is a cover the iconic Pleasure Club song.
Pleasure Club originally released “You Want Love” in 2004 as their second and final album. The Afghan Whigs’ version of the song includes James Hall. The track has been a highlight of The Afghan Whigs’ live set in Europe during their In Spades Tour.
The song is available now as a free download at www.theafghanwhigs.com. The song will be available on all digital download and streaming services as well.
The Afghan Whigs will return to Europe next week, playing at the Way Out Festival, Harden Pop Festival, Flow Festival, and Pukkelpop. The band will also head to America on September 6th for a show in Orlando, Florida. The band will then stop in Canada for three shows in Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto.
